The Research, Enterprise and Innovation team at London South Bank University is seeking to appoint an Innovation Project Manager (Health) to manage the day-to-day delivery of the Simulation for Digital Health (SimDH) programme (www.sbi.business/simdh/home), which is part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
Focusing on health technologies, this programme assists start-ups and small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) to develop innovative products and services and launch new health technologies to market. The programme offers support across a variety of digital health sub-sectors including wearables, mobile and telehealth, AI, immersive and assistive technology.
The Innovation Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of SimDH. This includes working with marketing and external stakeholders to raise the programme’s profile, recruitment and appraisal of applications from SMEs, scoping of research and development projects with LSBU academics and SimDH research fellows, monitoring of delivery, design and monitoring of project governance documentation, output and financial reporting. Supported by a Project Coordinator, you will also work closely with suppliers and external partners to monitor delivery of support and utilise quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision making for continuous improvement of service delivery.
This is a high-profile role with visibility across multiple schools at LSBU as well as stakeholders across the digital health and start-up ecosystem in Greater London, and therefore suits an individual with strong communication skills, an ability to build strong relationships with diverse audiences, and resilience to balance a varied workload.
This is a full-time post for 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, however there is likely to be a need to work additional hours beyond this to ensure the SimDH programme remains on track against contracted KPI’s and budget.
You will have proven experience in the delivery of complex projects with multiple stakeholders, including delivery and financial monitoring and reporting. Ideally you will have experience working with academics on research and development projects, including the ability to take incomplete information and translate into clearly defined outputs and outcomes for work streams.
You will be highly IT literate, with an ability to quickly pick up new software as well as identify opportunities to leverage technologies to optimise project management and delivery processes.
The closing date for applications is midnight on Tuesday 13th July. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview online week commencing 19th July.
