The Alumni and Development team is focused on increasing alumni (former students) and supporter involvement with the University and building our new fundraising activity.
The team’s annual programme of activity is designed to help ensure maximum alumni and supporter engagement. This includes events, marketing and fundraising campaigns, and volunteering opportunities throughout the year.
In the last three years, the Alumni and Development team at LSBU has grown to support a new philanthropic vision it calls, "No Barriers to Brilliance." https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/no-barriers-to-brilliance The goal, within the next three to five years, is to create an eco-system of giving that provides financial and non-financial support for the entire LSBU community.
The Senior Development Officer role will provide an early career project officer or someone looking to transition into the fundraising profession with a great opportunity to secure that important next step.
We want to welcome a committed and motivated addition to our small team at this exciting stage of growth as we boost our philanthropic activity to create and sustain both financial and non-financial supporter giving across the wider LSBU Group.
You will be creative with a keen eye for detail, experienced in building engagement and relationships from the ground up.
Individuals should have the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise, multi-task and take initiative.
Our No Barriers to Brilliance Campaign is about bringing education and opportunity to our communities. Our work has impact. It gives hope, changes lives, builds communities and strengthens society.
By joining our team, you have the power to help our students thrive and create opportunities for people who might not otherwise have them.
This is a full time, permanent role.
