The Division of Urban, Environment & Leisure Studies at LSBU helps students to achieve their full potential and to realise their career aspirations informed by our commitment to social justice and global responsibility. This commitment underpins all our degrees, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and contributes to the development of students' academic skills and knowledge, as well as their engagement as active and critical citizens. We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor in Hospitality, The appointee's major focus will be to: provide academic leadership to the tourism, hospitality and events team; the development of the suite of new degrees delivered within the Division; raising the profile of hospitality within and outside LSBU; and input into the development of the new 200 bedroomed residential conference and management centre to be developed on campus that will become a student employability, teaching and income generation resource.
The appointee will be an established hospitality academic, with excellent industry links, and able to attract high profile research funding
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to deliver high quality teaching and scholarly leadership, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, in hospitality operations & management and hospitality leadership.
