London South Bank University (LSBU) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Policy and Public Affairs Manager to provide pivotal support to the work of the Corporate Affairs team engaging with local government, Parliament and Whitehall; making impactful contributions to higher education policy debates; and promoting LSBU and its views.

Impact Rankings for reducing inequality. We have partnerships with more than 1500 businesses and are one of the leading higher education providers of SME support programmes in London. Over a third of our students are employer-sponsored, including 2,500 higher and degree apprentices.
The University sits within the LSBU Group – a unique education model bringing together secondary, further, and higher education - which, in addition to the University includes South Bank Colleges, South Bank Academies and South Bank Innovation.
The Corporate Affairs team is part of the Strategy and Corporate Affairs Directorate. It works closely with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof David Phoenix, and has had a demonstrable impact in shaping Government higher education policy over the last five years.

Permanent, full time role – 35 hours per week
Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days’ work on campus are arranged with the line manager.
